Stainless Steel

Alloy Steel

Ductile Cast Iron
- All the attributes of gray iron, yet stronger and more ductile than cast iron
- Withstands higher temperatures in high-performance applications
Gray Cast Iron
- Is economical, “tried and true”
- Contains self-lubricating graphite flakes
- Excellent choice for many applications

Coatings
Our coatings offer lower friction, longer life, and lower emissions. Depending on the application, coatings may be applied to the top compression ring or the whole set.

- Chromium Nitride, CrN, is the standard piston ring PVD coating
- Low friction, Low wear coating that is compatable with most engines
Nitride
- Case hardening via a chemical change to base material

- Chrome piston rings provide increased engine life, particularly when conditions are dirty or dusty.
